The New SWISS KRONO Laminate Flooring Collections at SURFACES 2016

Four full-on days of innovations in floor coverings in Las Vegas: that was The International Surface Event – SURFACES 2016 in January. SWISS KRONO presented the new laminate flooring collections of its American, Swiss, German and Polish subsidiaries on a 170-square-metre stand (which naturally featured the Group’s new brand livery).
The KRONOTEX FLOORING COLLECTION 2016 had already debuted at DOMOTEX in Hanover. Encouraged by the kudos received from attendees at that trade event, we then proceeded to showcase our new laminate floors in the United States. Including no fewer than42 new decors, the collections make a fresh, young impression. Completely new are three supplementary collections: MAMMUT plus, DYNAMIC plus and EXQUISIT plus, whose authentic natural wood looks and new embossed-in-register and used-look surfaces also pleased the many visitors to the SWISS KRONO stand here in Las Vegas.
The absolute highlight was the new MAMMUT plus collection: nine innovative, high-quality embossed-in-register oak decors that truly look like real wood and evoke a classy, comfortable country house ambience in any room. They come in an extra-wide 1845 x 244 x 10 mm panel format that ideally supplements the extra-long versions of the MAMMUT family.
Typically American looks clearly predominated among the real wood products on display at SURFACES, but the exhibited laminate floors reflected new trends in Europe. This was especially apparent, for example, in the new KRONOTEX decors in vintage style with used-look surfaces. The décor Oak Hella (D 4754) was a genuine eye-catcher and attracted crowds of visitors. European decors are clearly making inroads in the U.S. “We’re simply thrilled with the growing popularity of our designs in America,” says Uwe Jöst, Managing Director of KRONOTEX and KRONOPLY. One of our customers in the States, Republic Flooring, also responded to this trend by spotlighting the KRONOTEX FLOORING COLLECTION 2016 at its SURFACES stand.
Two newly developed embossed-in-register oak decors – Gala Oak and Pettersson Oak – made a big splash with their unique character. Versions of both in various colours are included in several collections.
“We’re very satisfied with the results of our exhibit at SURFACES 2016,” says Jöst. “Our new corporate design attracted a lot of praise here in America too, and the new collections were a big hit as well.” There was a great mood and we made many new contacts and had many interesting conversations. We’d like to thank our customers, business partners and visitors and are already looking forward to SURFACES 2017.
